- JOB DETAILS:
Position Title: Project Manager/ Architect
- JOB OBJECTIVE:
Responsible to provide the technical supports to other (senior) project managers in the different building projects to meet the project’s goals and objectives.
Plan, organize, and supervise the work of the consultant team members to ensure quality and performance within the parameters of the projects.
Review, coordinate and monitor the work of the designer including checking design for quality, efficiency, and optimization.
- KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provide Technical support for the Building Projects Department team members
Approve and review design of various buildings architecture.
Participate on RFP (Request for Proposal) preparation for design consultancy services1 providers.
Support project managers in design related issues
Perform necessary checks to the project with regard to building code conformance in collaboration with other design managers. |
Monitor design process with respect to compliance with design standards, project requirements and schedule.
Assist in the preparation of documents for the contractors’ contract.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Ensure all design works are comprehensive and discussed with the various engineers for the best implementation and installation of services in coordination with other parties and contractor.
Ensure consideration of works preparation requirements by the designers
Identify any additional necessary design activities.
Participate on value engineering sessions, Identify areas of improvement based on standard practices.
Identify new ideas (know-how inputs) to optimize and improve design.
Monitor the progress of the project design documentations and the design deliverables.
Check that all relevant drawings released for the execution of works have been coordinated
Check the scope of design work according to the contract and monitors progress of design work
Participate on Prequalification preparation and review Scope of work of the Tender documents and submission of proposals.
Monitor the Request of information provided by the contractor during the Construction period to the consultant.
Monitor the project mock-ups, prototypes and benchmark installations.
Monitor the shop drawings / Materials / Method statements provided by the contractors to the consultant for approvals.
Monitor the Site Installation works regularly, Provide onsite support / guidance to the project team when required.
Monitor QA/QC system implementation on the project to maintain the desired quality levels.
Monitor the As built drawings provided by the contractor to the consultant.
Attend final inspections on completed projects, initiate ‘Contract Completion Certificates’ and ‘Handover Certificates’ after checking back-punch list items have been cleared by the contractor in order to complete and submit the project documentation dossier.

Internal: Good interpersonal and team work skills.
External: Excellent written, oral and presentation skills. Good negotiation skills.
- QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Architecture with proven experience in design.
Membership of relevant professional architecture body is preferable.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum 8 years’ experience in design/construction field including experience in the capacity of consultant / Construction engineering role. Proven experience in Design & Build Projects is preferred. The candidate should demonstrate ability of independent thinking, analysis and problem solving skills. GCC or Qatar Experience is preferred.
Knowledge of materials, methods, tools involved in construction of buildings.
Knowledge of different international standards, design techniques, and tools related to the discipline.

Ability to successfully manage, coordinate and administrate design projects. Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication abilities.
Ability to work under pressure in multiple projects.

Period of Contract 1 year (renewable)
Place of Work : Doha,Qatar
Working Hours 8+2 hrs / day , 6 days a week
