Our client we are hiring for is the best in class solar power plant development company, with its headquarters based in Hungary and Slovakia.

New colleague will be in charge of all developments in primarily North Macedonia, but may be assigned to projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Montenegro, too. The new colleague will be based locally in North Macedonia and reporting to company´s CEOs in Hungary and Slovakia.

WESTERN BALKAN SOLAR POWER PLANT DEVELOPER (M/F)

Responsibilities: 

• Identify suitable land plots and grid connection points
• Identify risks and solutions
• Determine and carry out strategy for successful project execution from tender submission, permits management, to merge & acquisition phase
• Compliance with and implementation of applicable directives and regulations
• Communication with all involved authorities: municipalities, energy authorities, landowners and registry authorities, building permit authorities etc.
• Prepare development timelines, project schedules, road maps and budgets
• Track tasks, sub-tasks and open points in a project tool/tracker, manage deadlines and control, check and chase task owners, record meetings in notes and/or project tracker
• Technical, economic and organizational planning and control of the projects, i.e. participation in the execution of orders considering quality, costs and deadlines
• Regular reporting and communication with company´s CEOs
• Technical sales support
• Management of international projects in the field of photovoltaic power plant construction

Qualifications: 

• Successfully completed studies in engineering sciences (specializing in electrical engineering, energy management, mechanical engineering, process engineering or an apprenticeship with further training as an electronics technician or master craftsman) and several years of professional experience as a developer, engineer or project manager in the field photovoltaic plant construction, industrial project development or real estate development or construction
• Experience and knowledge of local photovoltaic market, opportunities and regulations
• Good business management knowledge, especially in project planning/project management/project controlling
• Work independently, personal commitment and a high sense of responsibility
• Service orientation, ability to work in a team, resilience and flexibility
• Communicative personality
• Strong negotiating skills along solid entrepreneurial thinking and action
• Willingness to travel internationally within the framework of the projects
• Experience with Project scheduling and planning tools
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Communication: written and spoken English required at professional competency level; local language is a must
• Proficiency in the use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint (proven experience or coursework)
